On a hot February afternoon at the Bob Hayes Sportsplex, the Wolverines U19s kicked off their regular season with a commanding performance against Ft. Lauderdale. The excitement in the air was palpable as Slade Castle-Pearce opened the scoring with a quick try just minutes into the game.
The Wolverines capitalized on their strong start, with Matt Brown-Ramos expertly converting two penalty kicks to extend their lead. Brown-Ramos also showcased his try-scoring ability, taking advantage of a restart close to the line and bringing the halftime score to a commanding 20-0 in favor of the Wolverines.
The second half saw Noah Voltin seize his moment, using his speed to make two brilliant tries down the sideline. With Warner White and Zander Erasmus also crossing the try line, the Wolverines' victory was sealed with style and teamwork.
